The Social Club  Promotions

So how does it work??

Throughout the year we will be running various promotions, raffles and bake offs in order to raise money for your social club. Hampers and prizes

will be donated from Samurai Karate Waverley and ALL ticket sales and money collected will go directly into the social club fund and will be used exclusively to fund numerous activities for the students throughout the year.

March 2018:

Congratulations to Chris George one of our Senior students won the chocolatey basket and it was delivered to him on Good Friday! Needless to say, I’m sure his children have smashed the lot!

Also congratulations to all those who bought tickets for the raffle. We managed to raise $72 which will be going towards the first Social Club event for the year.

We love seeing new faces in our dojo, therefore we would like to invite you to our refer a friend program.

Simply refer your friend to our karate school, they complete their free monthly trial and if they join YOU receive 10% off your next monthly fees bill!

Refer and join as many friends as you like and receive 10% off various monthly fee bills!

It’s that simple!

13th May 2017:

Congratulations to our beautiful mother Ying He who won the massive Mother's day hamper on Saturday!

Wishing all the Mothers a very happy mother's day and we hope you get spoilt!

Thank  all who bought a ticket for this raffle.

We ended up raising $212 for the Social Club so keep watching this space for the next event!

19th April 2017:

So it’s done, it’s been counted twice.... and by 2 different people, the total amount of eggs in the jar was 156 and the winner who was closest to this number with 157 and who wins that massively  chocolately basket of deelish eggs is.........

SENSEI ADRIAN VOGEL!

Congratulations you are the lucky winner! Your basket will be waiting for you to collect this coming Monday at the dojo!

A MASSIVE thank you to all who participated in this raffle as we were able to raise $133 for YOUR Social Club!!!!

Speaking of the social club, please remember to send me the names of the Juniors who would like to attend the next event which is being held on Saturday 6th May @ Olympic Ice Skating Rink.

We already have 12 Juniors attending so get in quick!!! (No later than this coming Sunday please)

And remember, there is NO cost to you the parents. All costs are covered by the Social Club!!

5th April 2017:

Winner Winner Chocolatey Dinner Hamper

You will notice tonight and for the next 2 weeks a very delicious, mouth watering hamper full of chocolaty goodness @ reception which we will be giving away to the person who guesses how many chocolate eggs are in the jar.

We call this promotion “Winner Winner chocolatey dinner”, and all money raised goes towards YOUR social club.

To play simply guess how many eggs are in the jar and the closest person to the correct number will win the hamper. $2 per guess or 3 guesses for $5. Guess as many times as you like!

This promotion will run from tonight through to Wednesday 19th April when it will be announced who was the closest guess and who wins the delicious basket of chocolatey goodness.

We know this will fall after Easter but what’s better than a midnight snack for you to feast on after the Easter bunny has delivered his eggs!

So please support your club & have a guess or 2!!

As you are all aware Samurai Karate Waverley and the Samurai Karate association hold various courses, functions, grading’s and demonstrations throughout the year.

Simply attend any of the below courses and you will receive 10 points towards your total.

Once you have reached 100 points you’ll get 25% off you’re next monthly fees bill.

Points will then reset to 0 and it all begins again.

It’s that simple!

Kawata Cup Tournament New Zealand

April 2017:

The recent New Zealand trip for the Kawata Cup Tournament proved prosperous for our 3 Waverley students Harrison, Scarlett & Athrava

Our Waverley students all came away with a placement in both Kata & Kumite.

• Harrison won Silver in individual Kata, Gold in team Kata & Silver in Kumite.

• Scarlett won Silver in individual Kata & Gold in team Kata

• Athrava won Gold in individual Kata.

Congratulations & Well Done!!! 

Bunnings Demonstration

March 2017:

Our recent Bunning Demonstration was loved by all participating and also watching on.

A massive thankyou to all students who attended and more so thanks to all the parents who bought the littlest of our school.

Well done to all and don't forget you have just earnt yourself 10 points towards the incentive program!

The Social Club

Events

Sat 7th October 2017-

For our adult social club event we went to bubble soccer. It was a great opportunity for us to all get together outside karate and bash each other about, with many ending up upside down and Rachel Mayo flipping in the air twice!

We also had our Peewee and Tiny Ninjas Social Club event at The Big Slide in Knoxfield.

We had a great turn out with 17 of our littlest students attending and attempting the massive slide, jumping castle and climbing frames.

Attention all Juniors!!!

Group attending: All Juniors classes from White belt – Junior Brown.

Where: Oakleigh Olympic Ice Skating Rink

When: Saturday 22nd September 2018

Time: 2pm-  4pm

What’s included: Entry, skate hire, drink, piece of fruit. (at no cost to you!)

Things you need to know:

• We will be purchasing the tickets shortly and need to know how many to buy, so please advise asap if you would like to attend!

• Registration for this even closes Saturday 1st September so get in quick!

• There will be “spotters” at this event, Sensei Charles, myself and 2 other adults and ALL children will be given an ID bracelet with my contact number.

• Parents are more than welcome to come and watch if you like at no cost.

• Please note: Due to the pre purchase of tickets, unfortunately if you register to attend this event and for some reason need to cancel you will need to refund the FULL amount of pre purchased ticket money to the social club.

So, all you need to do now is say YES to this awesome afternoon out at no cost to you! (parents)

Please reply to the email sent out with your child’s name, age and belt colour and you’re set to go!!

Sat 22nd October 2018 -

Our Juniors had their social club event at the Oakleigh Olympic Ice Skating Rink. Thank you to Sensei Charles and Sempai Rachelle for supervising and for everyone that attended. Hope everyone had a great time!

Sat 6th May 2017-

Our very first Social Club event was held at Oakleigh Ice Skating Rink for all our Junior belts. A massive thankyou to Sensei Charles, Sensei Beck, Sempai Chris, Sempai Rachelle & Sempai Scarlett for supervising and to all those who attended. We hope you had a great time and we look forward to the next event which will be posted shortly!
